Tossa de Mar Wedding Photography – Stacey & Carlo

Beautiful Tossa de Mar…

I heard a lot about this beautiful town, but I’d never had the chance before to visit and experience being a Tossa de Mar Documentary Wedding Photographer. Just over a year ago the opportunity thankfully presented itself. I was invited to be there with Edyta & Bartek for their post-wedding photo shoot and I can say, that I completely fell in love with the stunning and natural surroundings. Tossa really did exceed my expectations in every way possible.

Emotions & Moments …

I first met with Stacey and Carlo in Barcelona to talk about the wedding plan and their expectations. Stacey works in the film industry and she had a very clear idea of what to expect from her wedding photographer. She told me that she wanted to have natural looking images, a classic reportage showing the day as it unfolded. The brief was clear, focus on the emotions and moments of the day that could have easily been missed. At this point, I knew I would be able to create the lasting photographs from their special day they would be able to cherish for a lifetime. My documentary photographic style is finding the natural moments and I love to focus on the things they’d asked me for. I happily promised to be as much “ninja” photographer as possible but to be mindful of my surroundings.

They planned their wedding ceremony in a simply beautiful lighthouse – Faro de Tossa de Mar. On the day of the wedding, I met Stacey in the Hotel Diana which is a modernist boutique hotel with over 100 years of history designed by the student and collaborator of Antoni Gaudi. Stacey, her mum, sisters and soon to be mother in law had chosen this location to make the dress preparations before the ceremony. There were a few hiccups in the morning, but that´s why a bottle of champagne should be always in the hotel fridge.

Joy & Laughter

On the day itself, we were blessed by the wind gods. At the top of the hill by the lighthouse, the wind was so strong that it almost blew away the bride´s veil. When the touching ceremony was complete the newlyweds and all of their guests strolled down the beautiful little streets of the Old Town in Tossa and headed back to the Hotel Diana Tossa de Mar for the reception.

The speeches created lots of tears of joy and laughter. The first dances generated an abundance of emotions and undoubtedly and indisputably, Carlo ruled the dance floor. I was delighted to share at the moment and to experience Stacey & Carlo enjoying the evening with their fantastic guests.

A genuinely, honest and warm couple whom I had the pleasure to photograph.

It was a true privilege and great inspiration to witness your special day.

One more time, warmest congratulations
