Molly & Nathan’s Villa Almanita Wedding — and Why This Sitges Estate Wins Hearts

Molly and Nathan chose a Villa Almanita wedding because they wanted a venue that felt like theirs. She’s a lawyer with a quick, dry wit; he works in food and notices details most of us miss. They met abroad, shared years of travel memories, and Nathan proposed on a lakeside pier where both families spend summers. Their day had 77 guests and featured a smooth 5:00 pm shuttle. My favourite blend of documentary-meets-editorial photography captured the events beautifully. It was honest, joyful, and timeless—just like Villa Almanita itself.

First look at Villa Almanita wedding venue

For any couple considering a Villa Almanita wedding, the first impression is calm and elegant. The estate sits in the hills of Sant Pere de Ribes. It’s just outside Sitges—close enough to Barcelona for easy travel, yet far enough to feel like your own world. It’s an 18th-century Catalan villa of warm stone, courtyards wrapped in green, and terraces that make guests slow down. With no immediate neighbours, Villa Almanita offers rare privacy—something Molly & Nathan loved once their party hit the dance floor.

Why couples fall in love at first sight.

The combination of historic charm, quiet seclusion, and Mediterranean views makes Villa Almanita weddings stand out among Sitges venues.

Villa Almanita wedding capacity & sleepover perks

The numbers here matter if you’re venue-shopping. A Villa Almanita wedding can host up to 250 guests, with 24 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms on site. That means sleeping space for 50, expandable to around 70. It’s one of the larger private villas in the Sitges area. Molly & Nathan could plan a welcome gathering, the wedding itself, and a lazy pool brunch the next morning. All of these events can happen without leaving the property.

How a Villa Almanita wedding day flows

This venue makes the timeline feel effortless. Imagine a courtyard ceremony, followed by terrace cocktails. Then, enjoy dinner under the stars and transition to a poolside party. If the weather shifts, use the atmospheric arched indoor ballroom instead. That’s exactly how Molly & Nathan used it: a short “just-us” pause after the ceremony. They took quick group photos and then went into celebration mode. After dinner they changed (her party dress, his linen suit), cut the family-made cake, and danced late into the night. Villa Almanita is built for that kind of flow.

Villa Almanita wedding photography & light

From a photographer’s perspective, Villa Almanita weddings are a dream: the courtyards offer soft, flattering shade for ceremonies, the terraces glow at golden hour, and the gardens give you space and energy for group photos. In this post, you’ll see a mix from Molly & Nathan’s gallery. It includes ceremony frames, terrace cocktails, and a jeweller-requested ring portrait. You’ll also notice their outfit-change energy before cake. It was such fun creating a few relaxed portraits of them in between all the hugs and laughter.

Villa Almanita wedding party rules (aka, can we go late?)

Short answer: yes. One of the biggest perks of a Villa Almanita wedding is the absence of strict curfews. This is possible due to the lack of nearby neighbours. You still need to confirm music cut-offs with your planner. In practice, couples like Molly & Nathan can celebrate without the stress of a hard stop. Their dance floor was one of the happiest I’ve photographed this season.

My approach to Villa Almanita wedding photography

My goal is always the same: photographs that feel like real memories. At a Villa Almanita wedding, that means leaning on the courtyard’s flattering shade, capturing cocktail-hour chaos on the terraces, and slipping away for just 10–15 minutes of golden-hour portraits on the upper paths. Family formals are kept quick and efficient, and if rain ever appears, the indoor bodega photographs beautifully. Molly & Nathan’s gallery reflects exactly this approach—candid, lively, and never over-staged.

Is Villa Almanita your venue?

If you’re looking for rustic-luxe without fuss, a Villa Almanita wedding is an easy yes. It offers generous capacity without losing intimacy. It’s a venue where your favourite people can sleep on site and actually hang out all weekend. The privacy, the indoor backup, and the short drive from both Sitges and Barcelona make planning straightforward. For Molly & Nathan, it delivered the warm, timeless look they hoped for. Chances are, you’ll feel the same when you walk the courtyard.
